All measurements in this book are given in both US imperial and metric equivalents. Fabric allowances are interchangeable for the purpose of buying the required fabric. However, all cutting instructions are not. Use either imperial or metric measurements; do not mix the two.

The seam allowances (unless otherwise stated) are ¼ inch if you are working in imperial measurements or 0.75 cm if working in metric measurements. Although 0.75 cm is bigger than ¼ inch, these seam allowances work well with the rotary cutting equipment. All cutting instructions already include seam allowances; therefore, you will not need to add any extra. However, if you adapt any of the quilts or create your own designs, it is worth remembering the following when calculating seam allowances.
