1 | Cut strips to the desired width as previously described.

2 | Pick up a strip with the double fold in your cutting hand and turn it until it is horizontal on the board. Straighten up the end with the single fold and selvage.

3 | Using the same width measurement as the strip, cut it into squares, making sure that a horizontal line on the ruler is on the bottom edge of the fabric. This process is called subcutting.
