Cutting Quarter-Square Triangles

1 | Cut strips to the desired measurement, including the seam allowances.

2 | Turn the strip for subcutting as previously described, straighten the end, and cut a square.

3 | Pivot the ruler until it lies exactly across one diagonal of the square and then cut.


4 | Without moving the pieces, pivot the ruler the other way until it lies exactly across the other diagonal of the square, and then cut.

5 | Repeat steps 2 to 4 until you have subcut the required number of quarter-square triangles.
