Skin surface pH is most commonly measured using a planar (flat measuring surface area, diameter approximately 10 mm) glass electrode connected to a voltmeter. This method is known to be simple, non-invasive and reproducible [10]. Several of these electrodes from different manufacturers are commercially available today.
