Neuroendocrine Carcinomas
ОглавлениеTumours of neuroendocrine derivation comprise a spectrum of histomorphologic entities that include well-differentiated neuroendocrine carcinoma (typical carcinoid), moderately differentiated neuroendocrine carcinoma, atypical carcinoid, and poorly differentiated neuroendocrine carcinoma (small and large cell) [25]. These entities are rarely observed in the sinonasal and skull base, and not infrequently lead to differential diagnostic difficulties, which can be resolved by an appropriate use of immunohistochemical studies (Table 1, 2).
