Anaerobic exercise
ОглавлениеAnaerobic exercise is the type you use for targeting and toning your flabby, wobbly bits. It can help to build, stretch and lengthen muscle and trim the trouble spots, and regular sessions of just 20 minutes three times a week will boost your RMR by up to 15 percent over the long term. Which means you can eat more.
It usually involves working against some kind of resistance, such as dumbbells or the weight-loaded machines you find in a gym or Pilates studio. To build muscle, do just 10 repetitions at the maximum weight you can manage rather than 20 at only 50 per cent of your capacity.
