In the past half-decade, I have coached 500+ executives and transitioning military personnel on how to better use LinkedIn to accomplish their goals and better merchandise themselves. This is just a natural extension of what I did as a senior officer in the military—coach and develop junior officers.

Over the years, many people I’ve worked with have encouraged me to write a pamphlet or eBook on the tips, rules of the road and storytelling I’ve used to help them on saddling their LinkedIn horse for their journey. This 5-Minute Drill is the culmination of that mission. Little did Lori or I know we would be awarded a GOLD (Career Development) and SILVER (Business) Awards in Daniel Poynter’s 2017 Global e-Book competition.

I thank my bride of 40+ years, Karen, for her patience and selflessness in helping create the time to work on this book and coach executives and former service members on LinkedIn or their transition from the military to the private sector.
