Abstract

With the future research method Real Time Delphi and the evaluation model for measuring attitudes as well as the adoption theories for recording the cognitive and affective levels of acceptance, an attempt was made to derive the answer to the question of whether there is acceptance/non-acceptance among experts for future beneficial accommodation concepts with fully autonomous electric mobility. The results from the scenarios and theses show a basic acceptance and thus a positive characteristic for the investigated scope as such. It can be stated that there is an approximation to adoption acceptance. The early measurement of success or prognosis has shown that there are ‘acceptors’ for the concept throughout due to the aggregated overall statements on the acceptance of the concept. Thus, the attribute of unrestricted basic acceptance is fulfilled. Even with the idea of classifying the concepts into the existing value and target systems, there were divergences, but there was predominantly agreement that the overall concept should be adopted at least as a niche concept. Technologically, there were no reservations regarding the acceptance of autonomous electric driving and accommodation as a vision of the future. Therefore, it can be assumed that the understanding for the scenarios and theses of this non-existent innovation was there. It is also clear, however, that regardless of the basic acceptance, further conceptual concretisation and adjustments are necessary and that there is a need for further research. In addition, many questions are still open that need to be clarified with regard to the phases of action- and use. For example, it is necessary to define which conceptual approach is to be pursued in concrete terms in order to be able to stand up to practical tests and social contexts. In any case, it must be noted that acceptance of autonomous electrified accommodation must go beyond the individual's own motivation and include society. In technological and political terms, for example, nationwide digitization and the guarantee of data and traffic security are key factors for broader acceptance. This means that all players must view the future use of the road infrastructure as a subsystem of future social desiderata in a more social and liberal way and not just as reserved for conventional traffic or economic interests.
