GOING A-MOWING

Max was going to see Father mow.

He says it is fun to see Father mow.

The little girls were swinging in the orchard.

They saw Max going to the meadow.

He said, “Come and go with me, Alice.”

Then Alice sang,

“Little boy, little boy, where are you going?

I will go with you, if I may.”

Max sang,

“I’m going to the meadow to see them a-mowing.

I’m going to help them cut the hay.”
