THE BIRD SWING
Grace was jumping a rope by the wall.
She saw a bird’s nest in the oak tree.
Alice said, “I will get up on the wall, Grace.
Then I can see what is in the nest.
The nest is like a little swing.
I hope some dear baby birds are in it.
I hope I can see the dear little birds.
I see the mother bird in the tree.
I hope she will sing to us about the bird swing.
Sing, mother bird, sing!
Sing a little song to me.”
