Hebrews 9:11 quoting the NASB also states: “But when Christ appeared as a high priest of good things to come, He entered through a greater and more perfect tabernacle, not made with hands, that is to say, not of this creation.” If we live in Yeshua, then our new temple must be just like His, because it will be the new man in Yeshua that will be presented to the Father. 2 Corinthians 5:19-21 and Isaiah 53:4 remind us: “For God was in Christ, reconciling the world to himself, no longer counting people’s sins against them. And he gave us this wonderful message of reconciliation. So we are Christ’s ambassadors; God is making his appeal through us. We speak for Christ when we plead, “Come back God!” For God made Christ, who never sinned, to be the offering for our sin, so that we could be made right with God through Christ. . . . Yet it was our weaknesses he carried; it was our sorrows that weighed him down. And we thought his troubles were a punishment from God, a punishment for his own sins” (NLT). This man can be none other than Yeshua Himself, because He was the only person found worthy by Abba Father to lay down His life for all mankind.
Ezekiel described Yeshua’s appearance as being that of brass, but why brass? Brass was always symbolic of the judgment of sin and spoke of our sin that is placed upon Yeshua. Although the KJV translated the word for Yeshua’s appearance as resembling “brass,” a better rendering is copper. Whenever the word “brazen,” “bronze,” “brass” or “copper,” is used to describe furnishings of the tabernacle built by Moses; the symbolic reference remains the same because copper is tied to the sin offering. The LORD uses parables, typologies, metaphors and other symbolic language frequently throughout Scriptures, but they were never intended to confuse us. Being intimately aware of the propensity of His children, the LORD knows that these applications would be very effective in arousing the thoughts of the seeker of truth, drawing us even closer to Him; the only true source of all knowledge. We must never take one iota of credit for any revelation given to us, but remain humble and ever more available, as we are the LORD’S voice to this generation. Yeshua Jesus is the final temple and in the tabernacles built by both Moses and Solomon copper remained the symbol associated with the sin offering.
Copper was never found in the Inner court or Most Holy Place, it is always associated with the Outer Court. One of the symbolic interpretations of the Outer Court is the place of repentance, our
