The measurement from the vestibule of the lower gate to the inner court was a hundred cubits eastward and also northward. North is symbolic of the place occupied by man whereas east pertains to Yeshua. The combined measurement eastward and northward unveils a picture of man in Yeshua Jesus that is to come! The measurement of man in Yeshua is here given as a hundred cubits. If fifty is the symbol of man’s freedom from bondage and the public celebration of that freedom is called the jubilee, then a hundred is its reinforcement or double jubilee: The year of total restoration and rest for the soul that has been redeemed by Yeshua and the atonement of His blood reclaiming the lost.
These were the LORD’s command to His servant Moses: “In addition you must count off seven Sabbath years, seven sets of seven years, adding up to forty-nine years in all. Then on the Day of Atonement in the fiftieth year, blow the ram’s horn loud and long throughout the land. Set this year apart as holy, a time to proclaim freedom throughout the land for all who live there. It will be a jubilee year for you, when each of you may return to the land that belonged to your ancestors and return to your clan. This fiftieth year will be a jubilee for you. During that year you must not plant your fields or store away any of the crops that grow on their own, and don’t gather grapes from your unpruned vines. It will be a jubilee year for you, and you must keep it holy. But you may eat whatever the land produces on its own. In the Year of Jubilee each of you may return to the land that belonged to your ancestors“(Leviticus 25:8-13 NLT). The observation of the Year of Jubilee is set forth in these verses and Yeshua is preparing man for the perfect jubilee which is his everlasting rest in his Lord. This rest is achieved by the cleansing work of the Holy Spirit transforming man from a carnal baby to a fruit bearing branch of the vine (John 15:1-8). It is the abiding presence of Holy Spirit that prepares the soul of the redeemed (John 15:26-27; 16:13-14). The Holy Spirit is preparing mankind to be reconciled unto Abba Father which is our final spiritual resting place. Isaiah 32:15-18 applying the NKJV speaks of these things: “Until the Spirit is poured upon us from on high, and the wilderness becomes a fruitful field, and the fruitful field is counted as a forest. Then justice will dwell in the wilderness, and righteousness remain in the fruitful field. The work of righteousness will be peace, and the effect of righteousness quietness and assurance forever.
