Only when mind is steady it is possible to have true vision.

Lines to Memorize.

Out of the deep darkness of night

A light burst upon my soul,

Filling me with serene gladness.

All my inner chambers

Are opened at its touch;

All my inmost being

Is flooded by its radiance.

Lesson.

Do not close your door and brood in the darkness. When harshness and misery come, instead of going down under them, the awakened soul becomes triumphant. That is the way with saintly characters. When they meet with difficulties they always derive blessing from them. But how quickly we go down under the stress of life. Our sense of balance is increased or decreased according to our feeling for spiritual truth. As long as we have an unbroken consciousness of the Divine Presence, we shall feel secure and shall remain steadfast.

Prayer.

All-effulgent Spirit, Thou art the Light of the Universe.

Illumine my heart with Thy Divine Light.

Fill my mind with the light of understanding And give me strength and devotion

That I may follow Thy path with firm resolution.
