Foreword

This story was told to me backwards, starting with the good old London days, hopping to Johannesburg, then on to more recent times and lastly to where life began in earnest for Valerie Griffin Miličević in Scotland.

I had heard some of the ‘good uns’ over the years, nearly always accompanied by red wine, a few smokes and belly laughs. Fasten your seatbelts, here we go!
