Campylótropous, curved; the micropyle brought near the chalaza (Bean).

Anátropous, inverted; the micropyle brought near the hilum, pointing to the placentæ. Rhaphe the whole length of the ovule (Magnolia).

Amphítropous, half inverted; short rhaphe (Mallow).
