A Quest for Healing

“Why are you writing this book?” asked the beautiful green-eyed, blond-haired woman.

“Because I believe I can help send some light and laughter into the world,” I replied.

“How can you do this?” she gently pressed.

“After overcoming seemingly insurmountable challenges, I was invited to give a lecture and found I could inspire and bring light into the eyes of many people.” I had recently talked to a group facing health challenges. “By writing a book, it occurred to me that I could share my experiences with a broader audience.”

The kind woman looked deeply into my eyes. “Are you telling others what to believe?”

“No. I am simply sharing my experience.” This woman’s confidence and great love made me feel uneasy. I looked down at my dresser.

She continued, “It is sometimes difficult to look into the eyes of a great teacher, especially when that teacher is your Self,” said the woman staring back at me from the mirror. Inside my own heart were the answers to all my questions, if I could only trust my Higher Self.
