HARVEST

C

arving green wood is a treat because there’s a good chance you can

use wood that would have otherwise been chipped to make something

beautiful and useful. This is also the same reason that it can be hard to

know what’s worth using, where to look for treasure, and how to let all

those well-intentioned friends know that you just might not find a use

for that chunk of wood with a fence running through it. As these and

other opportunities present themselves, there are a number of things to

consider when searching for and harvesting your own material.
