Tremor is the most common movement disorder and is found in a wide range of conditions. The phenomenology of tremor may be classified into resting or action, with action tremor further subdivided into postural and kinetic. The resting tremor is classically associated with, though not exclusive to, Parkinsonian disorders. Action tremor may be physiologic or pathologic, with essential tremor (ET) representing the most common pathologic cause.
