Postviral Vagal Neuropathy

Оглавление

A differential diagnosis in patients with chronic cough is vagal neuropathy resulting from viral infection. If a patient with chronic cough and normal vocal cord function shows abnormal LEMG findings (pathological spontaneous activity, amplitude increased, or polyphasic motor unit potentials with reduced voluntary activity) in the TA or the CT, this can be related to a postviral vagal nerve injury although the patients show normal vocal fold mobility [23].
