Matth 10,42

Warning against offences.

(Matt. 18,6-9; Luke 17,1.2)

Mark 9,42 And whoever shall offend one of these little ones that believe in me, it is better for him that a great millstone were hanged about his neck, and he were cast into the sea.

Mark 9,43 And if your hand offend you, cut it off! It is better for you to enter into life maimed, than having two hands to go into Gehenna, into the fire that never shall be quenched.

Matth 5,30

Mark 9,44 Where the worm dies not, and the fire is not quenched.

Mark 9,45 And if your foot offend you, cut it off! It is better for you to enter halt into life, than having two feet to be cast into the Gehenna, into the fire that never shall be quenched:

Mark 9,46 Where their worm dies not, and the fire is not quenched.

Mark 9,47 And if your eye offend you, pluck it out: it is better for you to enter into the kingdom of YAHWEH with one eye, than having two eyes to be cast into Gehenna:

Matth 5,29

Mark 9,48 where their worm dies not, and the fire is not quenched.

Mark 9,49 For every one shall be salted with fire, and every sacrifice shall be salted with salt.

Chapter 10

Of dissolution of marriage.

(Matt. 19,1-9)

Mark 10,1 And he arose from there, and comes into the borders of Judaea by the farther side of Jordan: and the people resort to him again; and, as he was wont, he taught them again.

Mark 10,2 Pharisees came to him, and asked him, Is it lawful for a man to put away his wife? testing him.

Mark 10,3 And he answered and said to them, What did Moses command you?

Mark 10,4 And they said, Moses suffered to write a bill of divorcement, and to put her away.

Deu. 24,1; Matth 5,31.32

Mark 10,5 And Yahshua answered and said to them, For the hardness of your heart he wrote you this commandment!

Mark 10,6 But from the beginning of the creation Elohim made them male and female.

Genesis 1,27

Mark 10,7 For this cause shall a man leave his father and mother, and cleave (be joined) to his wife;

Genesis 2,24

Mark 10,8 And they two shall be one flesh: so then they are no more two, but one flesh.

Mark 10,9 What therefore YAHWEH has joined together, let not man put asunder.

Mark 10,10 And in the house his disciples asked him again of the same matter.

Mark 10,11 And he said to them, Whoever shall put away his wife, and marry another, commits adultery against her.

Luke 16,18; 1 Cor. 7,10.11

Mark 10,12 And if a woman shall put away her husband, and marry another, she commits adultery.

(Matt. 19,13-15; Luke 18,15-17)

Mark 10,13 And they brought young children to him, that he should touch them: and his disciples rebuked those that brought them.

Mark 10,14 But when Yahshua saw it, he was much displeased, and said to them, Suffer (Allow) the little children to come to me, and forbid them not: for such is the kingdom of YAHWEH.

Mark 10,15 Truly I say to you, Whoever shall not receive the kingdom of YAHWEH as a little child, he shall not enter therein!

Matth 18,3

Mark 10,16 And he took them up in his arms, put his hands upon them, and blessed them.

chap. 9,36

The rich youth.

(Matt. 19,16-26; Luke 18,18-27)

Mark 10,17 And when he was gone forth into the way, there came one running, and kneeled to him, and asked him, Good Master, what shall I do that I may inherit eternal life?

Mark 10,18 And Yahshua said to him, Why call me good? there is none good but one, that is YAHWEH.

Mark 10,19 You know the commandments, Do not commit adultery, Do not kill, Do not steal, Do not bear false witness, Defraud not, Honor your father and mother.

Exodus 20,12-17

Mark 10,20 And he answered and said to him, Master, all these have I observed from my youth.

Mark 10,21 Then Yahshua beholding him loved him, and said to him, One thing you lack: go your way, sell whatever you have, and give to the poor, and you shall have treasure in heaven: and come, take up the cross*, and follow me.

chap. 8,34; Matth 10,38

* note: follow the Master Yahshua in obedience, as he walked, means also: the sacrifice of Yahshua applies to all of mankind, another sacrifice is not necessary and also meaningless:

Hebrew 9:12; 10:10; 6:12

Mark 10,22 And he was sad at that saying, and went away grieved: for he had great possessions.

Mark 10,23 And Yahshua looked round about, and said to his disciples, How hardly shall they that have riches enter into the kingdom of YAHWEH!

Mark 10,24 And the disciples were astonished at his words. But Yahshua answered again, and said to them, Children, how hard is it for them that trust in riches to enter into the kingdom of YAHWEH!

Ps 62,11; 1 Tim. 6,17

Mark 10,25 It is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle, than for a rich man to enter into the kingdom of YAHWEH.

Mark 10,26 And they were astonished out of measure, saying among themselves, Who then can be saved?

Mark 10,27 And Yahshua looking upon them said, With men it is impossible, but not with Elohim: for with Elohim all things are possible.

Of the reward of succession.

(Matt. 19,27-30; Luke 18,28-30)

Mark 10,28 Then Peter began to say to him, Lo, we have left all, and have followed you.

Mark 10,29 And Yahshua answered and said, Truly I say to you, There is no man that has left house, or brethren, or sisters, or father, or mother, or wife, or children, or lands, for my sake, and the good tiding’s,

Mark 10,30 But he shall receive an hundredfold now in this time, houses, and brethren, and sisters, and mothers, and children, and lands, with persecutions; and in the world to come eternal life.

Mark 10,31 But many that are first shall be last; and the last first.

Third announcement of suffering.

(Matt. 20,17-19; Luke 18,31-34)

Mark 10,32 And they were in the way going up to Jerusalem; and Yahshua went before them: and they were amazed; and as they followed, they were afraid. And he took again the twelve, and began to tell them what things should happen to him,

chap. 9,31

Mark 10,33 Saying, Behold, we go up to Jerusalem; and the Son of man shall be delivered to the chief priests, and to the scribes; and they shall condemn him to death, and shall deliver him to the nations:

Mark 10,34 And they shall mock him, and shall scourge him, and shall spit upon him, and shall kill him: and the third day he shall rise again.

The sons of Zebedee.

(Matt. 20,20-28)

Mark 10,35 And Jacob/James and John, the sons of Zebedee, come to him, saying, Master, we would that you should do for us whatever we shall desire.

Mark 10,36 And he said to them, What would you that I should do for you?

Mark 10,37 They said to him, Grant to us that we may sit, one on your right hand, and the other on your left hand, in your glory.

Mark 10,38 But Yahshua said to them, You know not what you ask: can you drink of the cup that I drink of? and be baptized with the baptism that I am baptized with?

chap. 14,36; Luke 12,50

Mark 10,39 And they said to him, We can. And Yahshua said to them, You shall indeed drink of the cup that I drink of; and with the baptism that I am baptized shall you be baptized:

Acts 12,2; Rev. 1,9

Mark 10,40 But to sit on my right hand and on my left hand is not mine to give; but it shall be given to them for whom it is prepared.

Mark 10,41 And when the ten heard it, they began to be much displeased with Jacob/James and John.

Mark 10,42 But Yahshua called them to him, and said to them, You know that they which are accounted to rule over the nations domineer over them; and their great ones exercise authority upon them.

Luke 22,25-27

Mark 10,43 But so shall it not be among you: but whoever will be great among you, shall be your minister:

chap. 9,35; 1 Peter 5,3

Mark 10,44 And whoever of you will be the chief, shall be servant of all.

Mark 10,45 For even the Son of man came not to be ministered to, but to minister, and to give his life a ransom for many.

The blind man from Jericho.

(Matt. 20,29-34; Luke 18,35-43)

Mark 10,46 And they came to Jericho: and as he went out of Jericho with his disciples and a great number of people, blind Bartimaeus, the son of Timaeus, sat by the highway side begging.

Mark 10,47 And when he heard that it was Yahshua of Nazareth, he began to cry out, and say, Yahshua, you Son of David, have mercy on me!

Mark 10,48 And many charged him that he should hold his peace: but he cried the more a great deal, You Son of David, have mercy on me!

Mark 10,49 And Yahshua stood still, and commanded him to be called. And they call the blind man, saying to him, Be of good comfort! rise; he calls you!

Mark 10,50 And he, casting away his garment, rose, and came to Yahshua.

Mark 10,51 And Yahshua answered and said to him, What will you that I should do to you? The blind man said to him, Rabboni, that I might receive my sight.

Mark 10,52 And Yahshua said to him, Go your way; your faith has made you whole. And immediately he received his sight, and followed Yahshua in the way.

Chapter 11

Yahshua's entry in Jerusalem.

(Matt. 21,1-11; Luke 19,29-40; Joh. 12,12-19)

Mark 11,1 And when they came near to Jerusalem, to Bethphage and Bethany, at the mount of Olives, he sent forth two of his disciples,

John 2,13

Mark 11,2 And said to them, Go your way into the village over against you: and as soon as you be entered into it, you shall find a colt tied, whereon never man sat; loose him, and bring him!

Mark 11,3 And if any man say to you, Why do you this? say you that the Master has need of him; and immediately he will send him back here.

Mark 11,4 And they went their way, and found the colt tied by the door without in a place where two ways met; and they loose him.

Mark 11,5 And certain of them that stood there said to them, What do you, loosing the colt?

Mark 11,6 And they said to them even as Yahshua had commanded: and they let them go.

Mark 11,7 And they brought the colt to Yahshua, and cast their garments on him; and he sat upon him.

Mark 11,8 And many spread their garments in the way: and others cut down branches off the trees, and strawed them in the way.

Mark 11,9 And they that went before, and they that followed, cried, saying, Hosanna! Blessed is he that comes in the name of YAHWEH!

Ps 118,25.26

Mark 11,10 Blessed is the kingdom of our father David, that comes in the name of YAHWEH! Hosanna in the highest!

Mark 11,11 And Yahshua entered into Jerusalem, and into the temple: and when he had looked round about upon all things, and now the evening was come, he went out to Bethany with the twelve.

The dried up fig tree.

Cleaning of the temple.

(Matt. 21,12-22; Luke 19,45-48)

Mark 11,12 And on the morrow, when they were come from Bethany, he was hungry:

Mark 11,13 And seeing a fig tree afar off having leaves, he came, if haply he might find anything thereon: and when he came to it, he found nothing but leaves; for the time of figs was not yet.

Mark 11,14 And Yahshua answered and said to it, No man eat fruit of you hereafter for ever. And his disciples heard it.

Mark 11,15 And they come to Jerusalem: and Yahshua went into the temple, and began to cast out them that sold and bought in the temple, and overthrew the tables of the moneychangers, and the seats of them that sold doves;

John 2,14-16

Mark 11,16 And would not suffer that any man should carry any vessel through the temple.

Mark 11,17 And he taught, saying to them, Is it not written (Is. 56:7), My house shall be called of all nations the house of prayer! but you have made it a den of murderers.

Jer 7,11

Mark 11,18 And the scribes and chief priests heard it, and sought how they might destroy him: for they feared him, because all the people was astonished at his doctrine.

Mark 11,19 And when even was come, he went out of the city.

Mark 11,20 And in the morning, as they passed by, they saw the fig tree dried up from the roots.

Mark 11,21 And Peter calling to remembrance said to him, Rabbi, behold, the fig tree which you cursed is withered away.

Mark 11,22 And Yahshua answering said to them, Have faith in YAHWEH.

Mark 11,23 Truly I say to you, Whoever shall say to this mountain, Be you removed, and be you cast into the sea! and shall not doubt in his heart, but shall believe that those things which he said shall come to pass; he shall have whatever he said.

chap. 9,23; Matth 17,20

Mark 11,24 Therefore I say to you, What things soever you desire, when you pray, believe that you receive them, and you shall have them.

Matth 7,7; John 14,13; 1.John 5,14.15

Mark 11,25 And when you stand praying, forgive, if you have ought against any: that your Father also which is in heaven may forgive you your trespasses.

Matth 5,23

Mark 11,26 But if you do not forgive, neither will your Father which is in heaven forgive your trespasses.

Matth 6,14.15

The question after the authority of Yahshua.

(Matt. 21,23-27; Luke 20,1-8)

Mark 11,27 And they come again to Jerusalem: and as he was walking in the temple, there come to him the chief priests, and the scribes, and the elders,

Mark 11,28 And say to him, By what authority do you these things? and who gave you this authority to do these things?

Mark 11,29 And Yahshua answered and said to them, I will also ask of you one question, and answer me, and I will tell you by what authority I do these things.

Mark 11,30 The baptism of John, was it from heaven, or of men? answer me.

Mark 11,31 And they reasoned with themselves, saying, If we shall say, From heaven; he will say, Why then did you not believe him?

Mark 11,32 But if we shall say, Of men; they feared the people: for all men counted John, that he was a prophet indeed.

Luke 7,29.30

Mark 11,33 And they answered and said to Yahshua, We cannot tell. And Yahshua answering said to them, Neither do I tell you by what authority I do these things.

Chapter 12

Of the evil husbandmen.

(Matt. 21,33-46; Luke 20,9-19)

Mark 12,1 And he began to speak to them by parables. A certain man planted a vineyard, and set an hedge about it, and digged a place for the winefat, and built a tower, and let it out to husbandmen, and went into a far country.

Is.5,1.2

Mark 12,2 And at the season he sent to the husbandmen a servant, that he might receive from the husbandmen of the fruit of the vineyard.

Mark 12,3 And they caught him, and beat him, and sent him away empty.

Mark 12,4 And again he sent to them another servant; and at him they cast stones, and wounded him in the head, and sent him away shamefully handled.

Mark 12,5 And again he sent another; and him they killed, and many others; beating some, and killing some.

Mark 12,6 Having yet therefore one son, his wellbeloved, he sent him also last to them, saying, They will reverence my son.

Mark 12,7 But those husbandmen said among themselves, This is the heir; come, let us kill him, and the inheritance shall be ours!

Mark 12,8 And they took him, and killed him, and cast him out of the vineyard.

Hebr 13,12

Mark 12,9 What shall therefore the master of the vineyard do? he will come and destroy the husbandmen, and will give the vineyard unto others.

Mark 12,10 Have you not read even this Scripture (Ps. 118:22,23): The stone which the builders rejected is become the head of the corner;

Mark 12,11 This was from YAHWEH's doing, and it is marvelous in our eyes?

Mark 12,12 And they sought to lay hold on him, but feared the people: for they knew that he had spoken the parable against them: and they left him, and went their way.

The tribute to Caesar.

(Matt. 22,15-22; Luke 20,20-26)

Mark 12,13 And they send to him certain of the Pharisees and of the Herodians, to catch him in his words.

Mark 12,14 And when they were come, they say to him, Master, we know that you are true, and care for no man: for you regard not the person of men, but teachest the way of Elohim in truth: Is it lawful to give tribute to Caesar, or not?

Mark 12,15 Shall we give, or shall we not give? But he, knowing their hypocrisy, said to them, Why tempt you me? bring me a denarius, that I may see it.

Mark 12,16 And they brought it. And he said to them, Whose is this image and superscription? And they said to him, Caesar‘s!

Mark 12,17 And Yahshua answering said to them, Render to Caesar the things that are Caesar‘s, and to YAHWEH the things that are YAHWEH‘s. And they marveled at him.

Rom. 13,7

The resurrection of dead.

(Matt. 22,23-33; Luke 20,27-38)

Mark 12,18 Then come to him the Sadducees, which say there is no resurrection; and they asked him, saying,

Mark 12,19 Master, Moses wrote to us, If a man‘s brother die, and leave his wife behind him, and leave no children, that his brother should take his wife, and raise up seed to his brother.

Mark 12,20 Now there were seven brethren: and the first took a wife, and dying left no seed.

Mark 12,21 And the second took her, and died, neither left he any seed: and the third likewise.

Mark 12,22 And the seven had her, and left no seed: last of all the woman died also.

Mark 12,23 In the resurrection whose wife shall she be of them? For the seven had her to wife.

Mark 12,24 And Yahshua answering said to them, Do you not therefore err, because you know not the scriptures, neither the power of YAHWEH?

Mark 12,25 For when they shall rise from the dead, they neither marry, nor are given in marriage; but are as the angels which are in heaven.

Mark 12,26 But as touching the dead, that are raised; have you not read in the book of Moses, in the place concerning the Bush, how Elohim spoke to him, saying (Exodus 3:6): I am the Elohim of Abraham, and the Elohim of Isaac, and the Elohim of Jacob.

Mark 12,27 He is not the Elohim of the dead, but the Elohim of the living: you therefore do greatly err.

The question after the first commandment.

(Matt. 22,35-40; Luke 20,39.40)

Mark 12,28 And one of the scribes came, and having heard them reasoning together, and perceiving that he had answered them well, asked him, Which is the first commandment of all?

Mark 12,29 And Yahshua answered him, The first of all the commandments is,

Hear O Israel; YAHWEH is our Elohim,

YAHWEH is one / YAHWEH alone:

Mark 12,30 And you shall love YAHWEH your Elohim with all your heart, and with all your soul, and with all your mind, and with all your strength (Deu. 6:4, 5): this is the first commandment.

Mark 12,31 And the second is like, You shall love your neighbor as yourself (Lev. 19:18). There is none commandment greater than these.

Mark 12,32 And the scribe said to him, Well, Master, you have said the truth, for there is one G-d/Elohim; and there is none other but he.

Mark 12,33 And to love him with all the heart, and with all the understanding, and with all the soul, and with all the strength, and to love his neighbor as himself, is more than all whole burnt offerings and sacrifices.

1. Sam 15,22; Hos 6,6

Mark 12,34 And when Yahshua saw that he answered discreetly, he said to him, You are not far from the kingdom of YAHWEH. And no man after that durst ask him any question.

Acts 26,27-29

Son and Master of David.

(Matt. 22,41-46; Luke 20,41-44)

Mark 12,35 And Yahshua answered and said, while he taught in the temple, How say the scribes that the Messiah is the Son of David?

Is.11,1; Rom. 1,3

Mark 12,36 For David himself said by the holy Spirit (Ps. 110:1): YAHWEH said to my Master, Sit you on my right hand, till I make your enemies your footstool.

2. Sam 23,2

Mark 12,37 David therefore himself calls him Master/Sovereign; and where is he then his son? And the common people heard him gladly.

Against the scribes.

(Matt. 23,5-14; Luke 20,45-47)

Mark 12,38 And he said to them in his doctrine, Beware of the scribes, which love to go in long clothing, and love salutations in the marketplaces,

Mark 12,39 And the best (uppermost) seats in the synagogues, and the uppermost places at feasts:

Mark 12,40 Which devour widows‘ houses, and for a pretence make long prayers: these shall receive greater damnation.

Jac. 1,27

Money into the treasury: the widow.

(Luke 21,1-4)

Mark 12,41 And Yahshua sat over against the treasury, and beheld how the people cast money into the treasury: and many that were rich cast in much.

2 Kings 12,10

Mark 12,42 And there came a certain poor widow, and she threw in two mites, which make a farthing.

Mark 12,43 And he called to him his disciples, and said to them, Truly I say to you, That this poor widow has cast more in, than all they which have cast into the treasury:

Mark 12,44 For all they did cast in of their abundance; but she of her poverty cast in all that she had, even all her living.

Chapter 13

YAHSHUA'S SPEECH ABOUT THE ENDE OF THE TIME (chapter 13).

The end of the temple.

(Matt. 24; Luke 21,5-36; 17,23-37)

Mark 13,1 And as he went out of the temple, one of his disciples said to him, Master, see what manner of stones and what buildings are here!

Mark 13,2 And Yahshua answering said to him, See these great buildings? there shall not be left one stone upon another, that shall not be thrown down.

Mark 13,3 And as he sat upon the mount of Olives over against the temple, Peter and Jacob/James and John and Andrew asked him privately,

Matth 17,1

Mark 13,4 Tell us, when shall these things be? and what shall be the sign when all these things shall be fulfilled?

Mark 13,5 And Yahshua answering them began to say, Take heed lest any man deceive you!

Mark 13,6 For many shall come in my name, saying, I am the Messiah! and shall deceive many.

John 5,43

Mark 13,7 And when you shall hear of wars and rumors of wars, be not troubled: for such things must needs be; but the end shall not be yet.

Mark 13,8 For nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom: and there shall be earthquakes in divers places, and there shall be famines and troubles: these are the beginnings of sorrows.

Mark 13,9 But take heed to yourselves: for they shall deliver you up to councils; and in the synagogues you shall be beaten (near in the future: in the churches): and you shall be brought before rulers and kings for my sake, for a testimony against them.

Mark 13,10 And the good tidings must first be published among all nations.

chap. 16,15

Mark 13,11 But when they shall lead you, and deliver you up, take no thought beforehand what you shall speak, neither do you premeditate: but whatever shall be given you in that hour, that speak you: for it is not you that speak, but the SPIRIT, the holy.

Mark 13,12 Now the brother shall betray the brother to death, and the father the son; and children shall rise up against their parents, and shall cause them to be put to death.

Mark 13,13 And you shall be hated of all men for my name‘s sake: but he that shall endure to the end, the same shall be saved.

John 15,18.21

The big affliction.

Mark 13,14 But when you shall see the abomination of desolation, spoken of by Daniel the prophet, standing where it ought not, (let him that reads understand,) then let them that be in Judea flee to the mountains:

Dan 9,27; 11,31

Mark 13,15 And let him that is on the housetop not go down into the house, neither enter therein, to take any thing out of his house:

Mark 13,16 But woe to them that are with child, and to them that give suck in those days!

Mark 13,18 And pray you that your flight be not in the winter.

Mark 13,19 For in those days shall be affliction, such as was not from the beginning of the creation which Elohim created to this time, neither shall be.

Dan 12,1

Mark 13,20 And except that YAHWEH had shortened those days, no flesh should be saved; but for the elect's sake, whom he has chosen, he has shortened the days.

Mark 13,21 And then if any man shall say to you, Lo, here is the Messiah! or, lo, he is there! believe it not:

Mark 13,22 For false Messiahs and false prophets shall rise, and shall show signs and wonders, to seduce, if it were possible, even the elect.

Mark 13,23 But take you heed! Behold, I have foretold you all things.

Mark 13,24 But in those days, after that tribulation, the sun shall be darkened, and the moon shall not give her light (19th May 1780),

Mark 13,25 And the stars of heaven shall fall (Nov. 1833), and the powers that are in heaven shall be shaken.

Hebr 12,26

Mark 13,26 And then shall they see the Son of man coming in the clouds with great power and glory.

Mark 13,27 And then shall he send his angels, and shall gather together his elect from the four winds, from the uttermost part of the earth to the uttermost part of heaven.

Matth 13,41

Mark 13,28 Now learn a parable of the fig tree; When her branch is yet tender, and puts forth leaves, you know that summer is near:

Mark 13,29 So you in like manner, when you shall see these things come to pass, know that he is nigh, even at the doors.
