Tiny doesn’t want to understand anything completely, ever, including herself. She would rather wonder a little bit. Or wander. This is like wishing to live forever.
People want to understand, and because of that some of them have a hard time not killing everything. Sometimes it’s by accident. Sometimes it’s necessary or for preservation. But to completely understand something, it must never change. There must be a null set, and so people explode mountains. They slice open chests. They name land separately from what it does, or did, or is, and especially when it never needed to be different in the first place.
But how do you look at a body and say:
when she was little, she wanted to be a fire truck?
How do you say love horrified them too?
How do we see home? How do you?
Desire changes like rings on a tree.
