BAKE THE COOKIES. Place 1 cookie sheet into the oven and bake

the cookies just until the edges, not the centers, are light golden

brown, 14–16 minutes. Let cool on the pan on a wire rack for 5

minutes, then transfer the cookies directly to the rack and let cool

completely. Repeat with the remaining cookie sheet of cookies.

ICE THE COOKIES. Using icing and sprinkles or other decorations—

and your creativity!—decorate the cookies. Let the icing dry at room

temperature until firm, at least 6 hours or up

to overnight, before serving.
