But even the very hairs of your head are all numbered.
Luke 12:7a
My daughters go to a Conservation high school. They really enjoy it. It gives them the opportunity to be themselves. However, this year, the school has made some changes as the enrollment has increased. There a few more rules and they have added a Headmaster.
My oldest daughter is not overly keen on this new educator. Why? The Headmaster cannot tell my daughter’s apart. It infuriates both but the eldest has been very vocal to me, the Headmaster, and the teachers that it is not appreciated. She wants to be seen as an individual.
Whether the eldest’s hair is up or down, even if they are wearing different clothes he cannot tell which one is which. When I had my parent teacher meetings he came up to me and began telling me how they looked exactly alike and he asked if they were twins.
“No,” I replied. “They are seventeen months apart.” “I really thought they were twins.” He added.
Over the years I have heard that a lot. However, to me, my daughters are very much different. I know that the youngest eyes are hazel, but the oldest is light green.
One’s nose has a splatter of freckles and the other has a mole at the hairline. One girl is shorter, their body styles different. The way they stand—their expressions are all different. To me they are two young ladies with many differences. Each has a wonderful personality, ideals and thoughts. They are dear each one in their own special way to me.
Thankfully, the Master knows us individually. He knows our strength and weakness. His knowledge of us is intimate. Beyond the shell, we travel this world within. I think that we forget that we are prized by God. You are very much an individual in God’s eye.
I will praise thee; for I am fearfully and wonderfully made: marvelous are thy works; and that my soul knoweth right well. Psalms 139:14
You were fearfully and wonderfully made in your mother’s womb by His hands.
But even the very hairs of your head are all numbered. Luke 12:7a
Even the hair on your head is numbered and God knows each one because He placed it there.
You are precious and unique to Him.
