Slip one stitch knitwise, knit one stitch, pass the slipped stitch over to make the mirror image of k2tog. The first stitch lies on top and the decrease slants to the left.

Slip the first stitch, knit the next stitch, use the tip of the left needle to lift the slipped stitch over and off the right needle.
