ОглавлениеHONEY MASKS
FOR EVERY SKIN TYPE
There are some ingredients that you almost can’t go wrong with when attempting DIY
skincare. And honey is definitely at the top of the list. It’s is naturally antibacterial,
antifungal, high in antioxidants, and moisturizing. Look for raw, unfiltered honey.
FOR ACNE-PRONE SKIN
A sheet mask with chamomile tea and witch
hazel calms inflammation and dries out excess
oil. Honey is also anti-inflammatory and helps
ward off breakouts.
¾ cup chamomile tea
¼ cup witch hazel
1 tablespoon honey
Brew tea and let it cool to room temperature.
Mix in witch hazel and honey. Soak a washcloth
or reusable sheet mask and apply to your skin
for 15 minutes. You can store leftovers in the
fridge for a week.
FOR INFLAMMATION OR
SENSITIVE SKIN
Green tea and honey both work magic on
redness and inflammation, making a soothing
combo that is gentle enough for sensitive skin.
1 teaspoon matcha powder
1 tablespoon honey
1 teaspoon sweet almond or jojoba oil
Combine ingredients in a small bowl and mix
well. (If you don’t have matcha powder, cut
open a green tea bag and use the leaves.)
Apply to face, let sit for 15 minutes, then
rinse with warm water.
SPOT TREATMENT
One-ingredient treatments are my favorite!
Honey has so many uses, and fighting acne is a
powerful one. Just dab honey (manuka is ideal)
directly on the blemish. Leave on for 10 to 15
minutes, then rinse with warm water.
