ОглавлениеASSEMBLING A TOOLKIT
Nothing makes me crazier than mixing a mask or toner, only to realize I forgot a basic tool.
It took me an embarrassing amount of time to realize my life would be much easier if I just
bought a set of dedicated DIY tools—which is surprisingly simple and inexpensive.
And worth it. Because there are only so many jam jars a family can go through, and
trying to cook dinner with the same tools you just used for clay? Is not recommended.
Measuring cups
Pretty self-explanatory!
Funnel
There’s nothing worse than
trying to pour a concoction
into a storage bottle and
spilling half of it on the
counter.
Small spray bottles
You have to have something to
spritz those mists and toners
onto your face.
Facial brush
Yes, you can definitely use your
fingers. But trust me, this little
tool makes applying masks
much less messy.
Soft washcloth
Perfect for a quick steam before
your mask to open up the pores.
Also helpful for gently removing
the mask without damaging
skin.
Headband
Besides keeping your hair back,
it’ll make it easy to apply your
mask up to your hairline, an
often-neglected area.
Measuring spoons
Avoid metal because you
shouldn’t use it with clay.
Mixing bowls
A set with lids is ideal for
mixing face mask ingredients
together and storing leftovers
in the fridge. Again, go with
glass—it just makes life easier.
Coffee grinder
It’s unexpected, but invaluable.
Mine gets used on the regular
to grind almonds, rice, oatmeal,
and dried herbs.
Small blender
A small handheld or
immersion blender quickly
mixes and purees ingredients.
Much easier than digging out
the food processor!
