ОглавлениеAre you a bit like a conker? Do you sometimes feel that you have to wear a spiky outer shell, as a form of protection from someone? At times, this can be a good thing, especially if people are being unkind with their actions or their words.
At other times, however, it is good to be trusting and to let people past your shell and see the real you, the shiny precious ‘conker’ inside! Just as in the autumn, when the browning shell splits open, we glimpse a small part of the conker inside.
Who are the people who know the real you, beyond the spiky layer?
Who helps you when you feel the need for a spiky shell?
Why Not Try This?
Draw six conker shapes on a piece of paper – you can add the laces if you like, but don’t colour the conkers in.
Inside three conkers write the names of people who know the real you.
In the other three conkers, write the names of people who help you when you need a spiky shell.
Keep all six somewhere safe to remind you of the real YOU!
