In a few cases with appearance of new or prominent aggravation of the pre-existing neurological deficit upon completion of surgery, an immediate postoperative CT was performed to rule out intracerebral hemorrhage. Otherwise, control MRI was done within 24–72 h after the procedure (usually within 24 h).

In total, 73 patients (83%) in the present series received FRT and 33 (38%) were given chemotherapy. For management of HGG, adjuvant treatment was typically initiated within 2–3 weeks after surgery, whereas in cases of LGG it was usually postponed until the appearance of clear radiological signs of tumor progression.
