We conducted an overview of cognitive impairment and cerebral atrophy in CKD patients. With the upcoming super-aging society, the importance of anti-CKD and anti-dementia measures will further increase. Further accumulation of evidence and the development of preventive/therapeutic approaches are urgently needed.
