Skin surface pH measurements, with predominantly the planar glass electrode method was and is still pivotal in the assessment of healthy and diseased skin. Of utmost importance is adherence to published and given practical skin surface pH measurement (method) guidance with due consideration and practicable control of all endogenous, exogenous and environmental factors that may affect skin surface pH.
