The chain is invisible between past and future

though you are linked as part of the chain.

It is the present which keeps past and future connected

when you walk to and fro like a juggler on the rope.

The past may slip out of your one hand

and you cannot get back what has happened once.

The other hand is still empty

trying to grasp the future.

The difference remains from one side to the other

though the bridge was blown up several times.

You must find your personal way

to reach the shore of the unknown.

How life will be in the days to come

nobody can give you the right advice for the right walk.

It can be cold, it can be hot, but it will be salty

since everything depends how the ocean goes.
