Wind blows along the road

doors and windows bang.

Envelopes with letters and loose papers fly through the air

carrying messages to the upper floors and over the roofs.

One letter flies through an open window into the bedroom

where an old woman takes the letter from the sheet.

She wonders, as she has not received a letter in a long time.

It was a wonderful letter full of love

which was addressed to a woman of the same first name,

but the last name, the house number and the road’s name were different.

Though the letter missed the addressee,

the old woman was amazed and had a happy day.

What about the other letters

which fly through open windows

or stick in window frames,

but have missed the addressee?
