OVERSEWING A SEAM

Оглавление

An oversewn seam will create a flat seam that, depending on the yarn and stitch pattern used, will be virtually invisible. This type of seam is particularly useful when joining fine yarns and lacy stitches.

Make the seam by holding the two edges to be joined next to each other, with their right sides facing. Carefully and neatly oversew the edges together, making stitches that are about the same size as a chain stitch would be. Once the seam has been completed, open out the two pieces and gently flatten the seam.
