It is a good idea to keep an oddment of the yarn used, together with a ball band and a few spare beads or sequins, in a safe place so that this can be referred to at a later date. The ball band will give details of how the yarn should be laundered but, if beads or sequins are attached, the item should NOT be machine washed even if the yarn could be. Instead, hand wash the item very carefully in lukewarm water. Alternatively, have the item dry cleaned by a professional.
