BACK STITCHING A SEAM
ОглавлениеBack stitch will create a seam that is strong but flexible, making it ideal for shoulder seams on large garments. However, because of the way the seam is made, it can create quite a bulky seam, so is best avoided when working with thick yarns, and it can be very difficult to work on very lacy stitch patterns.
Hold the two sections to be joined with their right sides together and work a line of back stitch along the edge, making each stitch through both layers. Try to work the stitches as close as is possible to the edge of the crochet.
