A diet rich in fibre is particularly therapeutic for women with PCOS because fibre is thought to prevent excess oestrogen from being reabsorbed into the blood.5
A high-fibre diet can also reduce the risk of insulin resistance by slowing down the conversion of carbohydrates into blood sugar.6
