June 5, 1953. The Cootiettes, Veterans of Foreign Wars Auxiliary, gave a party for 67 veterans at the clubhouse this afternoon. The patients participated in word games. Refreshments and cigarettes were served by the auxiliary members, after which all participated in group singing.
June 9, 1953. There were 80 veterans in attendance at a party this afternoon at the clubhouse, sponsored by the American Legion Auxiliary of Baltic. Games were enjoyed, and following entertainment, refreshments of sandwiches, cookies, ice cream, coffee, and cigarettes were served by the ladies of the auxiliary.
June 16, 1953. The Veterans of Foreign Wars Auxiliary of New London gave a party for 87 veteran at the clubhouse. Entertainment consisted of an observation quiz, a true and false contest, and a musical quiz. Refreshments and cigarettes were served by Mrs. Mary Murphy and her committee, after which dancing was enjoyed.
