What can you do when both inmates are lying? These inmates were locked up together in the same cell. A couple of officers noticed that one of them had an extra mattress. The inmate on the lower bunk was asked to remove the mattress. When the inmate complied, the officer noticed that his neck was red and scratched up. He had a towel wrapped around his head and was trying to keep his face hidden as he was removing the mattress. The officer told the inmate to show him his face. He had a black eye, several cuts on his face and a piece of tape between his eyes that was holding a cut together.

The officer called a 10-14 to get the inmates removed.

He then asked the other inmate to show him his face. There was a bandage taped to his forehead.

The inmate from the bottom bunk said that he was just working out when a stack of books wrapped in a sheet fell on him.

The other guy said that he was doing sit-ups on his bunk and bumped his head.

There were blood splatters all over in the cell.

They were both taken to segregation.
