Ready the router.

To cut a groove that will house the feet on

the cutting board, install a ½" double flute

straight bit in your handheld router.

Cut it to shape.

At the bandsaw, the ends are cut to a

trapezoid shape. Since every slab is different

you may want to choose a shape and size

that works with your grain pattern. On this

board, the long edge measures 19¼" and

the shorter long edge measures 16¾".
