Bevel the ends.
Next you’ll create the beveled ends. This
can be done using a disc sander or on a
tablesaw outfitted with a miter gauge.

Glue it up.
Spread a thin layer of glue between mating
faces and bring the whole assembly
together with clamps. You should have
three pieces of maple between the walnut
feet and one on each end.

Sand the feet.
While still taped together, use a spindle and
sanding blocks to sand the legs to 220 grit.
