IN FRONT OF – используется, когда что-то находится спереди или перед чем-то.

in front of the house – перед домом

Max:

Where is the dog? I can’t see her.

(Где собака? Я не могу её найти.)

Lena:

I think she is behind the tree.

(Я думаю, она за деревом.)

Max:

I looked behind that tree already. I think she’s not there.

(Я уже посмотрел за тем деревом. Думаю, её там нет.)

Lena:

Let’s check in front of the bench. She likes to sit there.

(Давай проверим перед скамейкой. Ей нравится сидеть там.)

Max:

Good idea! But I don’t see her in front of the bench either.

(Хорошая идея! Но её нет и перед скамейкой.)

Lena:

She might be behind the bushes near the playground.

(Она может быть за кустами рядом с детской площадкой.)
