TIPS ON TAPPING

You can tap with either hand on either side of the body and you can even switch halfway through if you like. Using two fingertips ensures that you locate the right vicinity. Tap firmly enough to propel energy through the meridian point, but not too hard to cause bruising. Each point is tapped approximately seven times, this can be as long as it takes you to breathe in and out, or say the reminder phrase three times.

Eyebrow (EB) – Bladder Meridian

Tap seven times at the beginning of your eyebrow point at the top of the nose, while repeating the reminder phrase.

Side of Eye (SE) – Gallbladder Meridian

Tap seven times at the corner of the eye socket bone, while repeating the reminder phrase.

Under the Eye (UE) – Stomach Meridian

Tap seven times at the centre of the bone below the eye, level with your pupil, while repeating the reminder phrase.

Under the Nose (UN) – Governing Vessel

Tap the middle line between the nose and top lip seven times, while repeating the reminder phrase.

Chin (Ch) – Central Vessel

Tap the middle of your chin, level with your gum line seven times, while repeating the reminder phrase.

Collarbone (Cb) – Kidney Meridian

Where the collarbone meets in the centre, just below the neck, a point can be found by moving down one inch and then outwards an inch, on either side. If you tap with all your fingers you will be assured of tapping the right spot. Tap this point seven times, while repeating the reminder phrase.

Underarm (Ua) – Spleen Meridian

On the torso under the arm, level with the nipple in men and the seam of a bra for women. Tap seven times, while repeating the reminder phrase.

Thumb (Th) – Lung Meridian

On the outside edge of the thumb, level with the base of your thumbnail. Tap this position seven times, while repeating the reminder phrase.

Index Finger (IF) – Large Intestine Meridian

At the side edge of the index finger (nearest to thumb), level with the base of your fingernail you will find the index finger point. Tap here seven times, while repeating the reminder phrase.

Middle Finger (MF) – Circulation/Sex Meridian

At the side of your middle finger (nearest to thumb), level with the base of the fingernail. Tap this place seven times, while repeating the reminder phrase.

Little Finger (LF) – Heart Meridian

At the side of the little finger (nearest to thumb), level with the base of the fingernail. Tap seven times, while repeating the reminder phrase.

Karate Chop (KC) – Small Intestine Meridian

On the side of each hand, roughly an inch below the little finger. Tap this point approximately seven times, while repeating the reminder phrase.

Once you have completed this sequence, close your eyes and take a deep breath – in and then out.
