As its name implies, this stitch falls in height between a single crochet and a double crochet. It produces a fairly tight fabric similar to one made with single crochet stitch.

Yarn over, then, insert hook in stitch. Yarn over again and pull up loop—there are now three loops on the hook (Fig. 6). Yarn over one last time and draw through all loops on hook.
