Treble crochet, or sometimes called triple crochet, can be used both for simple and complicated stitch patterns that call for more height than double crochet.

Yarn over twice and insert the hook into the work. Yarn over again and draw the yarn through the new loop. There will be four loops on the hook. (Fig. 8)

Yarn over again and draw through first two loops. Yarn over and draw through the next two loops (Fig. 9). Make one final yarn over again, pull through the two remaining loops on the hook.
