Wallpaper with affirmations
ОглавлениеLike things visual? You can also write down a number of positive affirmations and put them in a place where you will see them during the day. If this suits you, then the ‘see and feel’ motivational tool will work well, too. Use brightly coloured card and write your affirmations in black block capitals. As you see them each day, focus on the words and let those words drift into your mind and become deeply embedded. Typical places to put them can include: on the fridge, on food cupboards, on the bathroom mirror, in your purse or wallet, on the back of the front door and even above the mirror in your lounge! Affirmations should be short and to the point so they are easily absorbed into your mind. Some examples include:
‘I am a successful slimmer.’
‘I am proud to be in control of food.’
‘I melt the lard every day.’
‘I feel brilliant about my new life.’
‘I’m excited about my new dress.’
‘I see myself sexier and slimmer.’
‘I enjoy my new health.’
‘I am the boss of food.’
‘I know losing weight is easy.’
‘I hear myself being so much more confident.’
‘I see a new me every day.’
‘I feel so focused and excited about losing weight each day.’
‘I love to hear the compliments others say.’
‘I feel so in control of my life and food.’
The list can go on. However, a word of caution: avoid using the word ‘not’ in your affirmations as this can have the reverse affect. For example, if I were to say to you, ‘do not think of a chocolate biscuit’, invariably you will do just that and picture your favourite chocolate digestive! Always keep the affirmations positive.
