ON THE PILGRIM’S ROAD

Оглавление

That I had hit the Road

I partly knew

From a great Roman snail

And sombre yew;

But that my steps went from

And not towards

The shrine of good St Thomas,

I thought of afterwards.

So I adored today

No, not his ghost,

But the saints in Westwell window,

And her the most

Who knelt there with no head

But was so very

Adorable a saint

In dress of crushed strawberry.
