Was buying TSR's assets an easy decision? Were there many people in the company who were against it? What was the ultimate factor in going forward with the acquisition?
ОглавлениеI think it was an easy decision for Peter Adkison. As soon as he knew the door was open, he walked through it. There was little debate (from what I am told) about doing the deal inside Wizards. There was a lot of debate about the price, and about the mechanics of the merger and the post-merger operating plan, but I don't think any of Wizards’ key leaders ever questioned the value of combining the businesses. Even beyond the business value, the personal satisfaction from owning and publishing „Dungeons & Dragons“ was justification enough in their minds to do the deal.
