the only way to Abba Father. As noted in these verses all the measurements given are ONE REED; from the threshold to the chambers and to the porch is one reed. This numerical value, speaks of the unity of the Godhead and the final unity of man in Yeshua Jesus. The number one stands alone, it is solid in its decisions and not double-minded; to stand as one is to be united as one.
Yeshua ascends the stairs of the eastern gate and at this point, commenced His measurements. The eastern gate is the designated entrance prepared for Yeshua: let’s take a peek at Ezekiel 43:6-7: “So the Spirit took me up, and brought me into the inner court; and, behold, the glory of the LORD filled the house. And I heard Him speaking unto me out of the house; and the man stood by me. And he said unto me, Son of man, the place of My throne, and the place of the soles of My feet, where I will dwell in the midst of the children of Israel forever, and My holy name, shall the house of Israel no more defile, neither they, nor their kings, by their whoredom, nor by the carcasses of their kings in their high places”. Here is the undeniable proof that the pre-incarnate Son of the Living GOD was Ezekiel’s tour guide. He alone can enter the eastern gate. He alone as both Son of Man and Son of God can judge, He alone can present man before the throne of GOD, and He alone is found worthy to break the seal (Revelation 5:1-10).
In this vision Ezekiel watches as Yeshua goes up the stairs, indicating that it is only through Him that man can achieve a deeper relationship with God. This however does not mean that man will gain knowledge esoterically, because all mankind are equal in the LORD’S eyes. The Hebrew transliteration for stairs used in this context is Maalah [4609] and it speaks of one’s upward journey in his thought process. This is a humbling experience of spiritual growth and maturation where a prideful and haughty spirit has no place. As Yeshua ascends the stairs, His actions are symbolic of man’s regenerative thought pattern becoming more and more like His. Philippians 2:1-11 shows this clearly: “Therefore, if there is any encouragement in Christ, any comfort provided by love, any fellowship in the Spirit, any affection or mercy, complete my joy and be of the same mind, by having the same love, being united in spirit, and having one purpose. Instead of being motivated by selfish ambition or vanity, each of you should, in humility, be moved to treat one another as more
