Hebrew word used here is Timmor [8561], which is taken from its root Tamar [8558]. This word can be defined as that which is upright, in right standing, honorable, honest and just, and these are character traits of the Overcomers in Yeshua.

Palm trees remain resilient in very hot and arid climatic conditions and produces a wide range of products, from food to drink and edible oils. Symbolically palm trees are a picture of righteousness, jubilation, felicitation and worship (John 12:12-13; Matthew 21:1-11; Mark 11:1-11; Luke 19:28-40). Because of the adverse conditions under which these palm trees grow, we see a picture of the overcoming Believer being perfected and progressing in maturity; bearing fruit as trees of righteousness. Even under great duress, he continues to rejoice in the LORD and the power of His might. In Ezekiel 40:16 the post did not look like palm trees, neither were they engraved with palm trees; they were actually palm trees, which meant they were planted by someone. The righteous will grow like the palm trees and flourish in the presence of the LORD (Psalm 92:12-13). As the palm trees flourish and remain productive under the heat of adversity, so did these Overcomers. Every part of the palm tree is useful and so are these Saints of God. In the fourth temple, the Believers who are symbolically called “palm trees,” will gracefully project like pilasters at the entrance of the temple, but this is only the beginning of his experience as a new creation of God. This phase of reconstruction is taking place in the outer court or body as man presents himself unto the Lord as a living sacrifice, holy and acceptable unto the Lord, which is his due diligence (Romans 12:1). As the regenerating and renewing work of Holy Spirit continues to transform man within, this perfecting work is demonstrated in his character for all to see.

Of much importance is the association of palm tree with Sukkoth,
