LAD was 36 ± 4.6 mm at the start of dialysis and was significantly decreased to 33 ± 3.2 mm at 12 months (p < 0.05) and 33 ± 3.6 mm at 24 months of dialysis (p < 0.05). LVMI was 156 ± 45.7 g/m² at the start and significantly decreased to 128 ± 25.0 g/m² at 12 months and 129 ± 30.4 g/m² at 24 months of dialysis (p < 0.05) (Fig. 1a). ANP at the start of dialysis (56.2 ± 39.7 pg/mL) was significantly decreased to 37.7 ± 25.5 pg/mL at 12 months and 33.3 ± 19.5 pg/mL at 24 months of dialysis (p < 0.05). ANP was significantly correlated with LAD (R = 0.412, p < 0.01), transmitral A wave flow velocity (R = 0.429, p < 0.01), and LVMI (R = 0.426, p < 0.01).
